PacketViper

PacketViper is a cybersecurity company that develops agentless detection, prevention, containment, and response solutions for OT/ICS and IT network environments, with a particular focus on critical infrastructure industries. The company's patented technology automates attack detection and prevention against both external and internal threats, including known and unknown vectors, without requiring agents to be installed on protected assets.

PacketViper offers three primary product lines: OT360™ and OTRemote™ for operational technology and industrial control systems (including remote OT endpoints), IT360™ for IT infrastructure, and Deception360™ for deception-based threat detection.

These solutions are delivered as purpose-built appliances and are designed to provide real-time visibility and defense across an organization's attack surface. The platform includes dashboards, business intelligence tools, and layered reporting capabilities.

A notable aspect of PacketViper's commercial model is its zero-dollar hardware lease program for multi-year contracts, which provides appliances and maintenance at no cost to clients. The company positions its technology as a compensating control for legacy or unpatched systems, helping organizations maintain compliance and avoid fines.

Operationally, the solutions are designed to be usable by moderately trained personnel rather than requiring specialized expertise.

PacketViper also highlights measurable operational outcomes such as reductions in network traffic, decreases in SIEM ingestion rates, third-party behavior attribution inside networks, and support for cyber insurance documentation. The company was co-founded by CEO Francesco Trama, a patent co-inventor for selective network traffic regulation, alongside CTO Don Gray, formerly of MSSP VigilantMinds and NTT Security.
