MokN

MokN develops a detection layer designed to address external threats facing organizations. The company was founded by seasoned SOC experts who experienced a major cyber crisis involving credential theft, which revealed gaps in existing security tools that relied heavily on user behavior rather than defender control.

The platform is built from an attacker's perspective to provide organizations with better visibility into external threats. The founders' approach emphasizes simplicity and effectiveness over complexity, aiming to give defenders more control over their security posture. The tool focuses on detecting threats in what the company describes as "the murky waters of the Internet," providing enhanced visibility into external attack surfaces.

MokN's solution was created specifically to address the type of breach the founders experienced, focusing on credential theft prevention and external threat detection. The company's technical foundation is strong, with four technical co-founders bringing deep SOC and cybersecurity operations experience from large organizations.

The company is backed by strategic investors including Moonfire, OVNI, and Kima Ventures. MokN's mission centers on putting control back in the hands of defenders by providing detection capabilities that don't depend solely on end-user decisions. The platform aims to reduce the cost, noise, and frustration that organizations have experienced with traditional security approaches while providing more effective protection against external threats.
