SecureG Branded Calling ID (BCID) is a caller ID authentication solution that uses Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to verify and display branded caller information across telecommunications networks. The system addresses the problem of declining call answer rates by providing cryptographic verification of caller identity. The solution operates through a standards-based Rich Call Data (RCD) ecosystem that enables enterprise businesses to display verified caller information including display names, logos, and call reasons on consumer devices. SecureG functions as the provider of high-assurance PKI for BCID and operates the CTIA Secure Telephone Identity Certification Authority (CTIA STI-CA) Root, Intermediate CA, and Certificate Repository. The platform includes a call signing service for Originating Service Providers (OSPs) that supports both BCID and STIR/SHAKEN identity protocols. Call signing generates cryptographic signatures on SHAKEN PASSporTs, which Terminating Service Providers (TSPs) use to validate calls containing vetted display data. The system incorporates multiple roles in its ecosystem: Onboarding Agents collect information from new BCID registrants, Vetting Agents validate enterprise caller identities and their right to use specific display information, Signing Agents generate cryptographic signatures, and service providers transmit the authenticated information to consumer devices. SecureG stores cryptographic materials in a physically secured vault facility and maintains the PKI infrastructure for the BCID ecosystem. The platform provides monthly call delivery reporting and operates on a model where brands pay only for delivered data.
