Edera

Edera provides production-grade workload isolation technology for containerized environments, with a focus on Kubernetes security. The company has developed container virtualization technology that creates true isolation between containers to prevent container escape vulnerabilities and lateral movement attacks.

Their solution uses hypervisor technologies built with memory-safe principles and the Rust programming language to provide hardened runtime protections at the architectural level.

The company's technology addresses fundamental security gaps in container environments by implementing virtualization-based isolation that operates at a low technical layer. This approach prevents attackers from escaping container contexts and expanding their attack surface within Kubernetes clusters. The solution is designed to protect workloads including GPU-powered AI applications and modern cloud-native systems.

Edera's platform integrates with Kubernetes environments and is available on AWS GovCloud, targeting both commercial and federal government markets through partnerships with distributors like Carahsoft. The company was founded by engineers with backgrounds in open source security projects and infrastructure companies, including team members who previously worked at Chainguard.

Their technology aims to enable organizations to deploy containers in environments requiring stronger security guarantees while maintaining operational efficiency.
