Black Kite

Black Kite provides a cyber risk rating platform focused on third-party risk management and assessment. The company was founded in 2016 by Candan Bolukbas, a certified ethical hacker who previously worked for NATO identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities in third-party contractors. The platform enables organizations to identify, continuously monitor, and assess cyber risks across their vendor ecosystems and supply chains.

The company's technology performs non-intrusive cyber risk assessments of third parties without requiring direct access to their systems. Black Kite analyzes publicly available information and technical indicators to generate risk ratings and detailed security assessments.

The platform includes capabilities for continuous monitoring, threat intelligence, and ransomware susceptibility analysis. A recent addition called Product Analysis allows organizations to assess supply chain risks from third-party software products.

Black Kite serves over 3,500 customers globally across various industries that need to manage third-party cyber risk. The platform is designed for security teams, risk management professionals, and business leaders who need visibility into vendor security postures.

The company's research team, led by data scientists and engineers, analyzes cyber incidents, threat actor behaviors, and attack vectors to inform the platform's risk assessment methodologies and machine learning algorithms.
