VU Security

VU Security is a cybersecurity company that develops digital identity and fraud prevention solutions, with a primary focus on enabling secure, low-friction digital experiences for end users. The company operates primarily in Latin America, serving industries such as financial services, retail, government, healthcare, gambling, gaming, and background screening.

VU Security's core platform is built around Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), which manages the complete digital identity lifecycle of customers — from onboarding and registration through active use and eventual offboarding. The platform is delivered as a SaaS solution and is modular, comprising three main product lines: CIAM, Digital Identity, and Fraud Prevention.

The Digital Identity product covers Authentication Management and Onboarding Management. Key capabilities include Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), passwordless authentication (via magic links, QR codes, and push notifications), biometric verification, continuous authentication, and access management.

Onboarding features include liveness detection (proof of life), anti-spoofing, flexible document capture, KYC support, asynchronous onboarding workflows, and custom case management.

The Fraud Prevention product focuses on detecting and preventing identity theft and fraudulent transactions by analyzing the behavioral profile of each user's "Online Persona."

The CIAM platform also includes consent management tools to support compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR, as well as self-service capabilities for end users and progressive profiling for organizations. Clients include Banco Patagonia, MODO, Bancard, and Betwarrior.
