Venn Description

Venn provides BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) security solutions for organizations with remote and distributed workforces. The company's core technology is Blue Border, a patented Secure Enclave that isolates work applications and data from personal use on the same unmanaged device. This approach allows employees and contractors to use their personal computers for work while maintaining corporate security controls and compliance requirements. The Blue Border technology functions as an extension of the corporate firewall, enforcing security policies directly on BYOD and unmanaged devices. It provides data loss prevention capabilities including preventing copy/paste operations, screenshots, and unauthorized file uploads. The solution addresses compliance requirements for regulations such as SOC 2, HIPAA, FINRA, PCI, and SEC standards. Venn positions its solution as an alternative to traditional Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) deployments, as well as an alternative to issuing company-managed laptops. The technology enables organizations to reduce IT overhead associated with provisioning, managing, and shipping physical devices while maintaining security controls over corporate data and applications. The company was founded in 2019 with $29M Series A funding from Newspring Capital. Venn's founders previously created OS33, a secure workspace solution for the wealth management industry. The company initially focused on FINRA and SEC-regulated financial services before expanding to other compliance-driven industries. Venn achieved 300% year-over-year ARR growth in 2024.
