SecureIntent is a browser-based Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tool delivered as a Chrome extension, designed to prevent developers and technical users from accidentally leaking credentials, API keys, tokens, and other secrets into AI language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT. The core product intercepts clipboard paste events within the browser, performs local regex pattern matching and entropy scoring entirely in RAM (with no disk writes or data transmission to external servers), and alerts the user before sensitive data reaches an AI prompt or other web destination. Users are given the option to cancel the paste, proceed anyway, or automatically anonymize the sensitive content before pasting. The extension also scans GitHub repositories during browsing to surface hardcoded secrets in public or private code.
