ScoutDNS

ScoutDNS provides a cloud-based DNS filtering service designed for organizations of all sizes. The platform delivers DNS-layer security protection through a cloud-managed infrastructure that enables IT administrators to filter and control internet access at the DNS level.

The company was founded in 2017 as ChurchDNS, initially targeting nonprofits with accessible DNS filtering capabilities. In 2019, the platform was rebuilt and rebranded as ScoutDNS to serve a broader market including businesses, government agencies, and IT service providers. The company has experienced growth particularly within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) space.

ScoutDNS focuses on making DNS-layer protection accessible and manageable for organizations that may not have enterprise-level budgets or resources. The platform is designed to be straightforward to implement, use, and manage, with pricing structured for affordability. Target customers include IT service providers, educational institutions, nonprofits, and businesses worldwide.

The platform provides DNS filtering capabilities with policy controls, threat protection features, and reporting tools. The company continues to develop additional capabilities including deeper policy control, advanced threat protection, improved reporting, and integrations for managing security across complex environments.

The service is positioned as a cloud-native alternative for organizations seeking DNS security without the complexity typically associated with enterprise solutions.
