Relyance AI

Relyance AI is a data security and privacy platform founded in 2019 by Abhi Sharma (CEO) and Leila Golchehreh (Chief Strategy Officer). The company provides an AI-native platform designed to track data flows across an organization's full technology stack, from source code and cloud runtime environments to AI models.

The platform is built around a proprietary technology called Data Journeys™, which provides continuous, real-time visibility into how data moves through systems, as opposed to static point-in-time scanning approaches. This capability is intended to eliminate blind spots and enable proactive data protection.

Relyance AI positions its platform as a unified solution covering three functional areas: Privacy Expert (automating privacy operations and compliance workflows), AI Governance Expert (discovering AI usage footprints, assessing risks, and managing global compliance), and Data Security Expert (discovering, classifying, and securing sensitive data across environments).

Key capabilities include automated compliance monitoring for global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA; real-time data mapping and visibility; data minimization enforcement; Data Subject Request (DSR) automation; and AI-powered risk detection. The platform targets organizations ranging from high-growth startups to Fortune 500 enterprises that handle sensitive data and are subject to privacy regulations.

The company is backed by investors including Unusual Ventures and Menlo Ventures, with board members John Vrionis, Jyoti Bansal, and Matt Murphy.
