Intermedia

Intermedia is a cloud communications and collaboration platform provider founded in 1993 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA. The company serves over 150,000 businesses through a portfolio of integrated cloud-based services delivered via an AI-powered platform. Core offerings include voice, video conferencing, chat, SMS, contact center, business email and productivity tools, file sharing and backup, security, and archiving.

Intermedia's flagship product, Intermedia Unite, bundles unified communications and collaboration (UCaaS) capabilities into a single platform. The company also offers SecuriSync, an all-in-one backup and file sharing solution, as well as a dedicated security services portfolio. Microsoft Office 365 is offered as a third-party integrated product alongside proprietary applications.

The company operates primarily through a partner-first, channel-driven model, serving over 7,500 channel partners including telcos, service providers, and IT firms. Partners can resell, package, and manage Intermedia's solutions under their own brand via the Customer Ownership Reseller (CORE) model, which includes a brandable control panel, partner portal, billing, and service provisioning tools. An agent model is also available.

Intermedia targets businesses of all sizes, offering month-to-month contract options, a single monthly bill, and a centralized administrative control panel. The platform is designed to reduce the need for multiple communications service providers. Intermedia employs over 1,400 people globally and has received J.D. Power certification for technical support excellence nine times.
