Havoc Shield

Havoc Shield is a cybersecurity platform founded in 2019 and aimed specifically at startups and early-stage companies that lack dedicated security teams. The company was created to address a common challenge among startups: meeting the information security and compliance requirements demanded by enterprise customers and partners, while simultaneously managing real cybersecurity threats without the resources of a full security organization.

The platform targets individuals within startups who bear security responsibilities without a formal security role — a group the company refers to internally as "Security Stewards." These are typically founders, engineers, or operations staff who must navigate complex InfoSec requirements on their own.

Havoc Shield's core value proposition centers on two interconnected problems: helping startups satisfy the security and compliance demands of larger business partners or customers (which can otherwise result in lost business), and enabling startups to build baseline security programs before threats or regulatory pressures become unmanageable.

The company positions its platform as a structured, accessible solution for organizations that cannot yet justify or afford a dedicated security team.

The company has raised $3.5 million in venture capital and operates with a team of nine or more members. It has assembled a board of advisors drawn from cybersecurity, IT, and technology leadership roles across various industries, including financial services, technology, and public safety sectors.
