Bastion

Bastion is a security and compliance platform designed for technology startups and AI-driven companies. The platform combines security tooling, compliance automation, and expert guidance into a single offering, with the stated goal of helping companies achieve audit readiness in weeks rather than months.

The company's core product is positioned as a "security operating system" for AI-driven businesses, addressing challenges specific to companies building AI products — such as protecting training data, preventing model vulnerabilities, and meeting evolving customer security requirements. Bastion integrates automation to streamline compliance processes across frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Beyond software, Bastion offers a hands-on service model. The founding team, which comes from Palantir with backgrounds as Forward Deployed Engineers, embeds technical security expertise directly with customers.

This approach emphasizes engineer-level engagement rather than purely self-service tooling. The company's target market is primarily B2B SaaS startups that need enterprise-grade security capabilities without the overhead typically associated with large enterprise security programs.

Bastion's blog content also covers emerging AI-specific threat patterns — including model distillation attacks, AI-powered malware, and nation-state use of AI — indicating the company monitors and communicates about threats relevant to its customer base.

The company keeps its team small intentionally, reflecting a high-touch, technically focused operational model founded on principles from its team's prior experience protecting Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.
