Runetale Description
Runetale provides a secure mesh network VPN solution built on WireGuard technology that automates point-to-point connectivity without requiring manual network configuration. The platform eliminates the need for traditional VPN management tasks such as certificate distribution, firewall rule configuration, NAT traversal, and IP address management through automated key exchanges and IP list distribution. The solution integrates with existing identity providers through SSO support, including Google, Microsoft, and GitHub for standard users, and custom OIDC via WebFinger for enterprise deployments. User provisioning is automated through SCIM integration with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. Access control is managed through both role-based and network-based ACLs that define which users can access specific resources based on IP addresses and ports. Runetale supports multiplatform deployments across macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux. The platform provides direct peer-to-peer encrypted connections between devices and resources, bypassing intermediary servers to reduce latency. DNS management is automated, assigning names to devices within the network for simplified access without memorizing IP addresses. The platform includes a feature called "Linkers" that allows organizations to implement Runetale gradually alongside existing VPN infrastructure without requiring immediate agent installation on all systems. The solution targets organizations seeking to replace traditional VPN architectures with a zero-trust approach while maintaining compatibility with existing authentication systems and multi-factor authentication requirements. The platform is currently in private beta.
