Nudge Security provides visibility and governance for SaaS applications and cloud services at what they call the "Workforce Edge"—the point where employees make decentralized technology adoption decisions.

The platform discovers SaaS applications in use across an organization, including shadow IT, by monitoring authentication events and other signals. The company has discovered over 70,000 unique SaaS applications for its customers since launching in 2022.

The platform delivers automated governance capabilities that engage employees directly when and where they are working, enabling organizations to manage SaaS sprawl without blocking productivity. This includes capabilities for managing browser extensions, OAuth grants, and other employee-initiated technology integrations. Nudge Security received an honorable mention in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SaaS Management Platforms.

The company was founded by Russell Spitler and Jaime Blasco, who previously worked together at AT&T Cybersecurity and AlienVault, where they co-founded the Open Threat Exchange. The founding team includes veterans from companies like Fortify Software, HP, Splunk, and other cybersecurity organizations.

Nudge Security is backed by Ballistic Ventures, Forgepoint Capital, Squadra Ventures, and Cerberus Ventures, with advisors including Nicole Perlroth and other cybersecurity industry figures.
