Clover Security

Clover Security is a product security company focused on enabling engineering and product teams to build secure-by-design software. The company's platform targets the product security (ProdSec) function, specifically addressing the gap between how fast engineering teams make design decisions and how slowly security teams can review them.

Clover's approach centers on integrating security earlier in the software development lifecycle — before code is written — by providing visibility and influence over design decisions made in tickets, documents, and AI-assisted development workflows. The platform is designed to scale security review coverage across product changes without requiring proportional growth in security engineering headcount.

The company positions itself around "design-led product security," a model where security considerations are embedded proactively into product design decisions rather than applied reactively after development. This approach is framed as particularly relevant in AI-native software development environments, where the pace of change makes traditional security review processes difficult to sustain.

Clover Security raised $36 million in funding from investors including Notable Capital, Team8, SVCI (Silicon Valley CISO Investments), and founders of Wiz. The company has been recognized among notable cybersecurity startups by CRN. SVCI, a community of practicing CISOs, joined as a strategic investor, providing both advisory input and go-to-market access to enterprise security leaders.

The company's target customers include organizations with advanced engineering stacks or resource-constrained security teams seeking to systematize product security at scale.
