## What is RatelKey Burrow?

RatelKey Burrow is a self-hosted secrets manager that runs on infrastructure the customer owns. It stores typed and structured secrets organized by project and stage, and keeps a version history of every change so changes can be undone.

Features described:
- Canary secrets and share links
- Per-machine access control, from a single server to a fleet, including CI workflows that sign in with OIDC
- Access enforced on every request, with machines connecting directly rather than through RatelKey
- Logging of every read and change
- Scheduled, encrypted backups

RatelKey also provides a companion identity layer for teams: two-factor authentication, passkeys, OAuth sign-in, single sign-on and directory provisioning with an organization's own identity provider, and role-based membership per Burrow. It sends invitations by email, signs updates, and offers an optional relay that makes a Burrow reachable without opening a port, over a connection RatelKey states it cannot read. Machines do not depend on RatelKey for access.
