## What is protobuf-inspector?

protobuf-inspector is a command-line tool designed to parse and analyze Google Protocol Buffer (Protobuf) encoded data without requiring the original schema definition files.

The tool supports both Protobuf version 2 and version 3 formats and can automatically infer the message structure from the encoded binary data. It displays the parsed content in a human-readable format with color-coded output to enhance readability.

The parser attempts to reconstruct the field organization and data types by analyzing the wire format encoding. Fields are presented in the same order they appear in the encoded stream, which makes it valuable for understanding the underlying wire protocol structure.
