## What is Profundis?

Profundis is an infrastructure search and domain monitoring platform from Perspective Analytics, a company based in France. It indexes hosts, DNS records, certificates and WHOIS data, and lets security teams search by domain, IP address or technology.

Pivot is a graph-based view for investigating infrastructure relationships. A user seeds it with a domain, an IP address or a favicon, selects a node to read its correlations, and pivots again from any of them. The page lists correlation types such as CNAME targets, passive DNS, shared TLS certificates (SAN) and nameservers (WHOIS). Each link has a score and a confidence value, and the interface shows the strongest path from the seed.

Other capabilities:
- Monitors: a saved query that sends new results by email or to a team's tools.
- Organizations: client workspaces, credit allowances and single sign-on for teams.
- MCP server (https://mcp.profundis.io): lets MCP-compatible AI assistants, such as Claude and ChatGPT, search hosts, DNS records, certificates and WHOIS. It requires API access, and tool calls use Profundis credits.
