## What is Nubeva Ransomware Reversal?

Nubeva Ransomware Reversal is an enterprise software solution designed to enable organizations to decrypt ransomware-encrypted data without paying ransoms. The solution deploys passive service agents (Nubeva Sensors) that detect untrusted file encryptions used by ransomware attacks.

When ransomware encryption is detected, the sensors intercept and capture copies of the symmetric cryptographic keys used to encrypt files. These captured decryption keys are stored in a secure location for later use in data recovery. The solution provides decryptors and support to assist IT teams in recovering encrypted data.

The technology addresses the problems of downtime, business interruption, and permanent data loss caused by ransomware attacks. It enables faster recovery compared to traditional backup restoration methods, which can take days or weeks. Decryption with captured keys can restore data to the point of attack without data loss.

The solution is designed to work alongside existing security and backup infrastructure, providing an additional layer of protection against ransomware. It complements EDR, firewalls, endpoint protection, backups, snapshots, and other data resilience solutions by offering a decryption capability when other defenses fail or are bypassed by attackers.

The solution aims to reduce the average 21 days of downtime and minimize the business impact that leads 65% of ransomware victims to pay ransoms.
