## What is Nodepot?

Nodepot is a nodejs web application honeypot specifically designed to operate in small environments such as Raspberry Pi and Cubietrack systems.

The tool was initially developed as a learning project for NodeJS and serves as a deception technology solution for capturing and analyzing malicious activities.

Nodepot requires Redis to be running before starting the server and can be deployed on various platforms including Openshift and Ubuntu/Debian systems.

The honeypot simulates web application services to attract and log unauthorized access attempts, providing insights into attack patterns and malicious behavior.

As of version 0.36 released in May 2015, the tool is not considered production-ready and is primarily suited for educational purposes and small-scale deployments.
