## What is CFGScanDroid?

CFGScanDroid is a Java-based utility designed for analyzing Android applications by comparing control flow graph (CFG) signatures against the control flow graphs of Android methods. The tool operates on DEX files and provides multiple scanning modes including exact matching and partial matching capabilities.

The utility can dump signatures for each method within DEX files, load signatures from external files, or accept raw signatures via command line input. It supports scanning DEX files using signatures from other DEX files, enabling comparative analysis between different Android applications.

CFGScanDroid offers two primary scan modes: exact match mode that requires complete signature CFG to function CFG matching, and partial match mode that searches for signature graph patterns within larger control flow structures. The tool is built using Maven and packaged as a standalone JAR file for easy deployment and execution.

The scanner was specifically designed to identify malicious applications by analyzing their control flow patterns, making it useful for malware detection and analysis workflows in Android security research.
