## What is BloodHound?

BloodHound is a single page Javascript web application that analyzes Active Directory and Azure environments using graph theory to identify relationships and attack paths.

The tool consists of a web-based interface built on Javascript and compiled with Electron, paired with a C# data collector that gathers information from target environments. BloodHound stores collected data in a Neo4j graph database, which enables visualization and analysis of complex relationships within directory services.

The application maps out potential attack paths by analyzing permissions, group memberships, trust relationships, and other Active Directory objects. It identifies privilege escalation opportunities, lateral movement paths, and administrative relationships that may not be immediately apparent through traditional analysis methods.

BloodHound's graph-based approach allows security professionals to understand how an attacker might move through a network environment by exploiting existing trust relationships and permissions. The tool provides visual representations of these relationships, making it easier to identify security weaknesses and potential compromise scenarios.
