## What is BitLocker?

Microsoft BitLocker is a full volume encryption feature integrated into Windows operating systems, including Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1, 10, and Windows Server editions since 2008.

The tool provides disk-level encryption to protect data stored on devices in case of loss or theft. BitLocker has received validation against NIST FIPS 140-2 security standards through multiple assessments.

This repository contains implementation resources including Group Policy Objects for enterprise deployment, compliance verification tools, and configuration utilities. It includes a dedicated PowerShell module for BitLocker provisioning on standalone systems.

The solution supports deployment through Group Policy for domain-joined environments and integration with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 1910 Current Branch for centralized management across enterprise networks.
