iDenfy Proof of Address (PoA) Verification is a document-based address verification service that combines automated processing with optional manual review to confirm the legitimacy of a customer's residential address. The service accepts a range of document types, including bank statements, credit card statements, utility bills, residence permits, insurance statements, tax documents, payroll statements, and residence certificates. Documents must not be older than three months to be accepted. Address verification is performed through two methods: - Document upload and analysis using OCR and AI to extract address details, with optional manual cross-checking by in-house analysts. - Database lookup across 190+ countries to confirm whether a submitted address corresponds to an actual physical location. The workflow is customizable, allowing businesses to define their own PoA rules and request additional verification steps, such as photos of a handwritten note, a selfie with an ID document, a vehicle document, a license plate, or proof of item ownership. The product is designed to integrate into existing KYC/AML onboarding flows, supporting regulatory compliance requirements (KYC, AML, GDPR, CCPA) without significantly increasing user drop-off. The verification process averages approximately 20 seconds.
