Enterprise Email Archive for GroupWise is an email archiving and eDiscovery solution designed to work with Novell GroupWise email servers. It connects to the GroupWise server via a dedicated GroupWise Connector using the SOAP API, capturing emails and attachments either on a scheduled basis or in real-time through journaling. The product registers with the GroupWise server as a Trusted Application using a Trusted Application key. The solution operates without reliance on third-party databases such as SQL Server, using its own internal storage management. It integrates with Novell E-Directory to collect and synchronize user information automatically before each archiving transaction, enabling policy-based archiving by location, department, or individual role. Archive management features include support for clustered server environments, automated policy enforcement, self-monitoring of storage space and critical processes, and administrator alerting. The product can archive Public Folders, individual mailbox folders, and group information. Indexing and search capabilities include full-text keyword and key phrase searching, proximity and fuzzy search, and metadata-based search. Users can save search results to a basket, restore emails to their original location, print or forward archived emails, and view audit trails through access and search reports. The archive interface is browser-based and designed to be accessible to both end-users and administrators. User records are retained in the archive even after removal from E-Directory, with options to disable archiving or reassign archived data to another user.
