Cyberoam CR200iNG-XP is a Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliance designed for small and medium enterprises. The device is no longer available and has been replaced by Sophos products. The appliance implements Layer 8 Technology, which treats user identity as the eighth layer in the network protocol stack. This enables administrators to identify users, control internet activity, and create policies based on usernames rather than IP addresses alone. The CR200iNG-XP features FleXi Ports (XP) that provide flexible network connectivity through I/O slots supporting additional Copper/Fiber 1G/10G ports. The device includes 6 fixed Copper GbE ports and supports up to 14 total ports with FleXi Port modules. Network security capabilities include stateful inspection firewall, intrusion prevention system, VPN (IPSec and SSL), and wireless security. Content security features include anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam for inbound and outbound email, and HTTPS/SSL content inspection. The appliance offers application visibility and control covering over 2000 applications, with classification based on risk level and characteristics. Web filtering provides URL database coverage across 89+ categories. An optional Web Application Firewall subscription protects against SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities. Additional features include bandwidth management with QoS, multiple link management, 3G/4G/WiMAX connectivity, and IPv6 support. The device provides on-appliance reporting with over 1200 reports for real-time visibility into user and network activities.
