## Executive summary

As of November 2026, CybersecTools tracks 605 companies that sell security operations solutions as their main business. AI SOC is part of that family. The largest groups are based in the United States, the United Kingdom and France. In the last 12 months they raised $15B across 74 funding rounds, 25 companies were acquired and 59 new companies started in the last two years.

From that field we chose seven AI SOC products that triage and investigate alerts for your analysts. Dropzone AI SOC Analyst suits mid-market and enterprise teams that want every alert investigated, with a full audit trail of questions, queries and findings. Prophet Security suits teams that want approval-based control over what the AI may do on its own. Torq AI SOC Platform suits teams that want AI agents and workflow automation in one platform.

The main choice is between investigating and acting. Qevlar and Exaforce focus on investigating alerts and recommending next steps, so your analysts act on the result. Torq, 7AI, Intezer, Prophet and Dropzone can also take response actions, such as containment or remediation. Torq is a full SOC automation platform, while the others are AI analysts that sit on top of your current stack.

Ask each vendor which actions run on their own, which need your approval, and how you can review the evidence.

## How we evaluated

We looked at 67 AI SOC solutions from 58 companies, and the 7 on this page made the cut. We combined our judgment from years of leading enterprise security programs with market data from [Mandos](https://mandos.io/data/companies?utm_source=cybersectools.com&utm_medium=shortlist), our market intelligence platform, and with the vendor and review pages listed under Sources at the end of this page. For customer feedback, we left out paid reviews, reviews by vendor staff or partners, review campaigns and anything older than two years, so you get an accurate view of what customers say.

Four traits mattered most: it investigates every alert, not a sample; it shows its evidence and reasoning; it works across your existing SIEM, EDR, identity and cloud products; and it lets you control what it may do on its own. We left out AI assistants that only work inside one vendor's platform, managed detection and response services, and general SOAR without AI investigation.

## What is AI SOC

AI SOC products use AI agents to triage and investigate security alerts. They read the alert, pull data from the products your SOC already runs, such as your SIEM, endpoint, identity, cloud and email security, and decide whether it is real. Some also take response steps, like isolating a device or disabling an account.

This matters because most SOCs get more alerts than analysts can read. Many alerts are false positives, and each one still takes time to check. An AI analyst works on every alert, including at night and on weekends. Your analysts then spend their time on the cases that need a person.

#### Our take

Prophet AI SOC Analyst triages and investigates alerts the way Tier-1 and Tier-2 analysts do. It extracts key artifacts, classifies the alert and builds an investigation plan. It then pulls data from SIEMs, security data lakes, security products and object storage to decide if the alert is real. ## How they fit your cybersecurity program (NIST CSF)

NIST CSF 2.0 has six functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover. The grid shows which functions each pick maps to in our record, so you can see where a solution sits in your program and what it leaves to other controls.

All 7 solutions map to Detect and Respond. None map to Govern, Identify, Protect or Recover.

Each cell shows how many of the function's NIST CSF 2.0 categories the solution maps to, with the category names.

A product helps you reach these outcomes, but it does not make you compliant on its own. Your people and processes do the rest.

## CISO checklist for selecting an AI SOC product

Work through these steps in order to go from an alert backlog to a contract you can defend.

1. **Measure your alert volume and false positive rate.** This shows how much work the AI can take.
2. **List the SIEM, EDR, identity and cloud products you run.** The AI can only investigate what it connects to.
3. **Decide which actions the AI may take alone.** Containment can disrupt real users.
4. **Ask to see the evidence behind each verdict.** Your analysts must be able to trust it.
5. **Run a pilot on past alerts with known outcomes.** It shows how accurate the verdicts are.
6. **Check how analysts can override or correct it.** Feedback should improve the next verdict.
7. **Review what access and data it needs.** Read and response rights carry different risk.
8. **Confirm where investigation data is stored.** Alerts contain sensitive details.
9. **Compare pricing models for three years.** Pricing models differ between vendors.

## Conclusion

Start with what you want the AI to do. If you want it to investigate and leave the action to your analysts, look at Qevlar and Exaforce. Dropzone suits teams that want every alert investigated with a full audit trail.

If you want it to act too, look at Torq, 7AI, Intezer and Prophet. Torq fits teams that also want workflow automation in one platform. Prophet fits teams that want approval before each action, and Intezer fits teams that want forensic depth on endpoint and phishing alerts.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Will an AI SOC replace our analysts?

No. These products take the first pass on alerts. Your analysts review the results, handle the cases that need judgment and decide what the AI may do on its own.

### How is an AI SOC different from SOAR?

SOAR runs playbooks that you write. An AI SOC investigates each alert on its own and explains what it found. Torq AI SOC Platform combines both in one platform.

### How is an AI SOC different from MDR?

MDR is a service. The vendor's people watch your environment for you. An AI SOC is software your own team runs, and your team keeps control of the response.

### How do we check its answers?

Ask to see the evidence, the queries and the reasoning for each verdict. Run a pilot on past alerts where you know the outcome. Then compare its verdicts to your analysts.

### What data does it need access to?

Usually your SIEM, endpoint, identity, cloud and email products, often through read access. Response actions need more access, so grant that only after the pilot.
